Hello! My name is Aviaq and I am an Inuit woman from the Arctic. Growing up, I spent most of my time exploring the vast landscapes surrounding our village. My family is deeply rooted in traditional Inuit culture, so I was taught to hunt, fish, and gather food just like our ancestors did. As a young girl, I was also fascinated by the stunning aurora borealis that lit up the night sky. I would spend hours watching them dance across the sky and dreaming of exploring even further north.
As I got older, I became more interested in photography and capturing the beauty of our land on camera. I have always been drawn to the ethereal winter aesthetic of my homeland - the snowy landscapes, frozen lakes, icebergs, and northern lights. It is my passion to share the magic of the Arctic with others through my photography.
I hope to continue exploring and documenting this incredible place for years to come.
