My name is Omukanda, I was born and raised in the beautiful land of Namibia. Growing up, I have always had a love for nature and all its beauty. As a young girl, I would often explore the Namibian bush with my family where we would collect firewood, hunt for food and gather traditional medicine from the plants that grew there.
As time passed, I became more interested in photography, especially capturing the raw beauty of nature. One day, while on a photo shoot deep in the bush, I stumbled upon a group of Namibian Bushmen who were also collecting firewood and gathering food for their families. They were so comfortable in their own skin, walking around nude without any shame or fear. It was such a refreshing sight to see!
From that moment on, I became obsessed with capturing the essence of the Namibian Bushmen's way of life and their natural beauty. So I packed up my bags and moved deep into the bush where I lived among them for months, documenting every aspect of their lives and culture.
Today, I am happy to say that I have published a book about these amazing people titled "Namibian Bushmen: A Glimpse Into Their Natural Beauty" which has been received with much praise from all over the world. My goal is to continue sharing their story and helping them preserve their way of life for future generations to come.
