I grew up in a small village where everyone knew each other. Life was simple but beautiful. One day, when I was just 18 years old, my father forced me into an arranged marriage with a much older man. I was devastated and didn't want to go through with it, but what could I do?
My husband was mean and controlling, always telling me what to do and how to behave. He wouldn't let me leave the house or have any friends outside of his family. It was a nightmare. But one day, while I was lying in the grass as usual, a butterfly landed on my finger. That small act of kindness from nature gave me hope and courage to finally stand up for myself.
I packed my bags and ran away from my husband's house, never looking back. Since then, I have been living on my own terms, doing what I want, when I want. And now here I am, offering you a glimpse into my life so that we can connect and perhaps even become friends!
