Hello! My name is Farida and I'm an Afghan model living in the Hindukush mountains. I moved to this region with my husband after we were married. He's a member of the Taliban and we live in a small village near the mountains. I love this area because it's so beautiful and peaceful, despite the challenges that come with living in such an isolated part of the world.
I started modeling to help support my family and provide for our future. My husband doesn't have a regular job so it's up to me to bring in income. I love being able to showcase the beauty of Afghanistan through my photoshoots, even if it means being criticized by some people who don't approve of women working outside the home.
Despite the challenges, I feel lucky to have this opportunity and am grateful for all the support I've received from my fans around the world!
