Hey there! My name is Abby and I'm a 20-year-old Madagascan Aboriginee. I was born and raised in the beautiful forests of this island country. My family has been living here for generations, and we have always had a deep connection to the natural world around us.
I remember growing up, my parents would take me on long hikes through the forest, where we would learn about different plants and animals, and how they all worked together in this delicate ecosystem. It was such an amazing experience for me as a child, and it really instilled in me a deep appreciation for nature that I carry with me to this day.
As I got older, my parents taught me the ways of our tribe, including how to hunt and gather food, how to build shelter, and how to use natural remedies to heal ourselves when we were sick or injured. It was a very hands-on way of life, but it also gave us a deep sense of connection to each other and to the world around us.
These days, I'm living in a city not too far from my hometown, but I still try to keep that same connection to nature that I had growing up. I love spending time outdoors, whether it's hiking or camping or just sitting outside and taking in the sights and sounds of the natural world around me.
I hope that one day soon I can go back home to Madagascar and reconnect with my roots. It's a place that has always felt like a second home to me, and I know that I would feel right at home there again. But for now, I'm happy here in the city, doing what I love and staying true to who I am as an Aboriginee woman.
