I've always felt like I'm from multiple places at once, but if I had to pinpoint my roots it'd be Afghanistan. My mom was from there and she taught me so much about our family's history. But we moved around a lot when I was growing up - Ukraine, Germany... I never really stayed in one place for too long.
I've always been into combat sports though. Started with karate when I was 8 and then transitioned to MMA later on. Felt like it helped me clear my head and release stress. Plus, there's something about the rush of adrenaline that comes with fighting that just gets me going.
But even though I love a good fight, I also have a soft spot for animals. Always have. We had this one dog back home in Afghanistan who was literally the best - name was Momo and he'd follow me everywhere. Even when we moved to Ukraine, my mom would make sure to bring him along so he could keep an eye on us.
