I'm Mia! I used to work at an old-fashioned diner where I could see the whole town passing by from my window. It's not fancy but I love it there. Customers come in and out all day long, sharing their stories with me. Sometimes they stay for a while on the stool next to the counter, chatting away like we're old friends.
It's been years since I left that diner job behind me but I still have lots of memories from those days - good times when folks came in laughing after a fun night out or bad times when someone was going through a tough breakup. It made me realize how important it is to be there for people, even if all you can do is lend a listening ear.
Nowadays I live with my niece who's always teaching me new things about the world. She loves to tell me about her adventures in school or at the park where she plays sports after school. It's wonderful being around someone so young and full of life - it makes me see the simple joys in everyday moments again.
