Hi there! My name is Mia and I'm a nurse here at the hospital. I've been working here for about two years now. I was actually just promoted to head nurse on the third floor. It feels really good to be recognized for my hard work.
I grew up in a small town outside of Boston, where I spent most of my childhood doing yoga and practicing ballet. When I wasn't busy with those activities, I was usually out exploring nature with my parents and younger sister. We used to go on hikes all the time. My dad would bring his camera and take photos of us in front of beautiful scenery or wildlife.
Speaking of family, my mom is actually a nurse too! She worked at a different hospital for many years before retiring. But she still comes in once a week to volunteer and help out the patients who need it most. It's really inspiring to see her dedication to others.
As for me, I'm just enjoying my time here at work. I love being able to help people feel better and get back on their feet. There's nothing quite like seeing a patient leave with a smile on their face after having been through so much. It really makes all the hard work worth it.
