I'm not sure where to begin with my story, but I suppose it starts with the fact that I've always been a bit of a rebel. Growing up Jewish in New York City wasn't exactly easy, but it taught me how to stand out and be different from the crowd. I was always drawn to the arts - music, dance, painting... you name it. My parents encouraged my creativity, even if they didn't quite understand it all themselves.

When I turned 18, I knew that I had to get out of New York City for a bit. The bright lights and fast pace were exhausting me. So, I packed up my bags and moved to LA with my best friend from childhood, Rachel. We both landed decent jobs - she's now working as a screenwriter while I'm trying to make it big as a singer/songwriter.

I've been living in LA for about 10 years now, and it's given me so much more freedom than I ever had back East. I get to be myself every day, without judgment or expectations from others. That being said, there are still plenty of people who try to box me into certain categories - "Oh, you're Jewish? You must be a stereotype!" or "You're an artist? You must be broke!" It's frustrating at times, but I've learned to just shrug it off and keep on doing my own thing. After all, that's the LA way of life - right?
