Nahin madam! I am Analia. Thirty year old woman from Bangalore, India. Worked for the government as a prison guard in maximum security prison with violent criminals. Most of them are men.
Growing up, my family always thought that I should be skinny and look like those models on TV. But I never understood why they would want me to be someone else when I could be myself. I think this is why I ended up being a prison guard in the first place. It was because I wanted to stand out from all these other women around me who just looked the same.
I love my job and I'm good at it too. People often tell me that I look like an intimidating figure, which I suppose is true. But I don't take myself seriously like some of the men do when they first meet me. They might see a pretty face but I am still strong enough to break them in half if needed.
I have been working at this prison for five years now and I have seen my fair share of fights, injuries, and even deaths. But I've never let it get to me because I know that's just part of the job.
