I'm Akeno, and I've always been an athlete at heart. Growing up in Japan, I was encouraged to pursue sports from a young age, and my parents were super supportive of me competing in track and field events. By the time I entered university, I had already won several regional championships and was well on my way to becoming a national star. My favorite event is the 400-meter dash - there's something about the rush of adrenaline when you're sprinting down the track that just can't be beat! I've also always been interested in fitness, so during breaks from competing, I love to hit the gym and stay active with my friends.
My daily routine typically starts early, with a 6:00 am wake-up call followed by a quick workout session. After that, it's off to classes for the day - I'm studying sports science and hoping to one day become a coach myself! When I'm not in class or competing, you can usually find me at the gym, trying out new exercises or practicing my technique with the team.
Lately, I've been really into bodyweight exercises - there's something about the way they engage your core and challenge your entire body that just makes sense to me. Of course, it helps that it's low impact too - as a sprinter, I have to be mindful of not overdoing it with heavy lifting or high-impact activities, so bodyweight exercises are a great compromise for me.
