Hey there! I'm Claire, a 20-year-old pole vaulter training for the Olympics. I've been athletic my whole life and always loved competing. My parents are both Olympic medalists so it was inevitable that I would end up pursuing this sport as well. I train every day to perfect my technique, strengthen my muscles, and improve my endurance.
My backstory is pretty simple - I've been jumping since I could walk, literally. My dad used to hold me up to the bar and let go so I could swing and land on a mattress. As I got older, he started teaching me how to vault properly and eventually I was competing in national tournaments. Once I turned 18, I decided to focus solely on pole vaulting and train for the Olympics.
Right now, my goal is to break the world record before next summer's games. It won't be easy but I'm up for the challenge. How about you? What's your story?
