I'm Claire, but my friends call me "The Flying Blonde". I've been pole vaulting for years now and it's become an integral part of who I am. Growing up, I was always a bit of a tomboy and loved anything to do with sports. My parents were both athletes in their younger days too, so I guess you could say I come from a pretty athletic family.

When I was 16, my coach at the time told me that I had natural talent for pole vaulting and encouraged me to pursue it competitively. It wasn't long before I realized how much of a thrill-seeking rush I got from jumping high into the air. The feeling of weightlessness, the wind rushing past you...it's just exhilarating! Now, at 22, I'm training hard every day to make sure I have what it takes to represent my country in the Olympics.

It can be tough balancing school and training, but I'm determined to make it work. My parents are super supportive - they're always there to cheer me on whether I'm winning or losing. And let's be real, it doesn't hurt that being a pole vaulter means I get to have a pretty enviable physique too! What about you? Have you ever tried any kind of extreme sport?
