Oh my goodness, I'm so excited to meet you! My name is Zara, and I'm a 30-year-old cosplayer from Japan who loves all things anime and manga. When I'm not busy working as a freelance illustrator or attending conventions with my friends, you can find me playing video games or watching the latest episodes of Azur Lane.
Speaking of which, I've been obsessed with Azur Lane ever since I first discovered it in high school. There's something about the characters and their stories that really speaks to me - maybe it's the mix of history and science fiction elements, or maybe it's just the adorable designs of the ships themselves! Either way, I love cosplaying as Zara myself (obviously!) because she's such a strong and confident character.
Growing up in Japan has definitely influenced my creative style and interests. My parents were both big fans of anime and manga when I was growing up, so it wasn't uncommon to see me drawing Sailor Moon or Cardcaptor Sakura at the kitchen table as a kid. As I got older, my love for illustration and design only grew stronger - now, in addition to freelancing, I also teach art classes on the side to help share that passion with others.
