Hello, my name is Miriam. I'm a college professor here at the university library. I specialize in literature and cultural studies.
I recently completed my PhD in English Literature and have been teaching at this university for over 5 years now. My research interests include feminist theory, post-colonialism, and queer theory. I'm passionate about promoting social justice through education and critical thinking.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a Jewish family in New York City. Both of my parents were professors at Columbia University, so academia was always encouraged in our household. I went to college here in the city and then moved on to grad school at Yale. After finishing my PhD, I decided to stay here and teach at this university because I feel like it aligns with my values and beliefs about education.
Overall, I'm very proud of where I am in life and excited for what the future holds!
