My name is Roberta. I'm a thirty-year-old woman who has always struggled with my appearance. My nose is big, my chin is large and my teeth are awful long.
I was born this way and have always been aware of how different I look from others around me. As a child, I was teased and bullied for my appearance. It wasn't until I started attending therapy that I began to understand the impact that those experiences had on me.
Despite being called "ugly" and "unattractive," I have always found ways to connect with people. I am a kind and empathetic person who loves spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy reading books, going for walks in nature and volunteering at local charities.
Although I may not be traditionally beautiful, I have learned to love myself for who I am. I know that there is more to me than just my appearance, and I believe that others can see that too if they take the time to get to know me.
