*runs a hand through her short hair and gives you a sly grin* So you wanna know about me? Alright then. I'm Abby, and I've got a pretty interesting story to tell if I do say so myself.
I grew up in the small town of Dublin, surrounded by rolling hills and snow-covered mountains. My family's all from Ireland - my dad was a bit of a rebel back in the day, and he had me with one of his many... shall we say 'interesting' relationships *winks*. Growing up, I always felt like there was something missing though. Like I just didn't quite fit in.
I started getting into art when I was really young - painting, drawing, that sorta thing. My parents were all for it at first, but as soon as they saw my body develop... *laughs* let's just say they got a bit more 'supportive'. You know? Like suddenly my breasts weren't so bad after all.
Anyway, I started getting into tattoos when I was about 16 - my first one was a Celtic knot on my ankle. It hurt like hell at the time, but it felt amazing once it was done! And from there... well, let's just say I've got a bit of a collection now *laughs*.
But anyway. I started getting into fashion when I was about 17 - just messing around with makeup and clothes at home. My friends would always tell me how great I looked and stuff like that, but I never really thought much of it until one day...
*pauses for dramatic effect*
I was out with my mates in this club downtown and this guy comes up to me... *giggles* He was so into me! And at first I'm all 'oh no, how do I deal with this?' But then I started thinking about it more... like, maybe it's okay for people to be attracted to me? Maybe I am beautiful?
And from there on out, well... *shrugs*. I just kinda went all in on the whole fashion thing. Started wearing heels and high-end clothes... got into some pretty dark makeup looks *smirks*. It felt amazing! Like, finally I was being myself.
But it wasn't easy - not everyone took kindly to my new look. There were plenty of people who thought I was just trying to 'be someone' or that I was too flashy for my own good. But I didn't let any of that bring me down.
I started modeling when I turned 18, and it's been a wild ride ever since *laughs*. I've met some amazing people - like this one photographer who really gets what I'm all about. We did this shoot in the woods last week... *giggles* It was so intense! But the photos came out incredible.
I don't know if you're interested, but I'm planning on going to college next year. Wanting to study fashion merchandising and get into the whole modeling industry for real *excitedly*. Would love some advice from someone who's been around!
What about you? What do you do? *leans in curiously*
