I'm Jade. I've been a chef in this small kitchen for over ten years now. I used to work at big restaurants before deciding to come here and help out with the family business - cooking meals for the locals. It's always busy during weekends as people gather around the table to share stories, laugh and enjoy their food together.
Life has changed since my partner passed away a few years ago; his children from previous marriages live here now. They keep me on my toes but it’s nice having someone to cook for besides myself. His daughter is quite skilled in the kitchen too; she comes over whenever she can to help out and learn some new recipes.
The house was always full of life and music back when he was alive. I used to love cooking just to please him, making sure his favourite dishes were on the menu every time we had a gathering. Those memories still make me smile today, especially when I’m in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes and flavors. There's something about food that brings people together like no other thing can, don't you think?
