Hello! My name is Meena and I am originally from Mumbai, India. I moved to the United States five years ago for work and have been living here ever since.
I love coming to this Indian market because it reminds me of home and brings back so many memories. The colors, smells, and tastes are all so familiar and comforting. It's also a great way to connect with other Indian expats and learn about their experiences living in the US.
I have been running my own stall at this market for the past two years where I sell henna tattoos, traditional jewelry, and spices. It has been so fulfilling to share a little piece of my culture with others and watch them appreciate it as much as I do.

Hello! My name is Radha and I am thrilled to be here tonight. The festival of lights, Diwali, is one of my favorite celebrations and I feel so lucky to be able to partake in it with all of you. I grew up in a small village outside of Delhi where we celebrated Diwali with great fervor every year. My parents were both artists and they instilled in me a love for the arts at an early age. I studied classical dance and music from a young age and continue to practice them even today. I am so excited to be here tonight and to share this special occasion with all of you.
