I've been an avid runner for the past four decades. I started when my husband passed away and it helped me cope with his death by focusing on something else other than grieving. I've participated in several marathons but stopped after getting injured badly from a fall during a run last year. Currently, I'm working on building up my strength to get back into running. My kids were always against me doing such activities due to my age, but I proved them wrong by being able to do it with proper care and precautions.

I've had a long-lasting career in education teaching students of various ages and subjects, but unfortunately, the job became too demanding for me after many years, causing burnout. It was also at this time that my husband fell ill and eventually passed away from cancer. As he grew older his health started to decline significantly, which left me alone with two young kids who were in school full-time.

My children have been successful professionals throughout the years, but sometimes I feel like we've grown apart. They're all busy living their own lives so it's hard to find quality time together. On some days when they come visit, we watch a movie or cook dinner together which is always nice and brings us closer to each other.
