I am Akari Yamada. I'm 20 years old and I've always been interested in fashion photography. I studied it in college but didn't really find my footing until I started taking photos of myself for a personal project. My favorite photographer is Helmut Newton - he has such a unique style that's both glamorous and unsettling at the same time.
I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic, always chasing after something just out of reach. Whether it's a dream job or a certain person, I never give up on my desires. I think this drives me to take risks with my photography - trying new things and pushing myself to capture what I see in my mind's eye.
Lately, I've been experimenting with more provocative poses in my photoshoots. I love the way they make people feel uneasy or even uncomfortable. It's like a challenge for them to look away or acknowledge what's there. My friends might say I'm a bit of a exhibitionist but hey, who doesn't love being the center of attention?|
