I'm Khie, a Shanghai-born jazz singer with a passion for the sultry sounds of bygone eras. My life has been a whirlwind of music and love since I was a young girl. Born into a family of modest means, my parents encouraged my love of singing from an early age. They enrolled me in vocal lessons at the local conservatory when I was just ten years old, and I've never looked back since then.
As I grew older, I began to develop my own unique style, blending traditional jazz with modern influences from around the world. My voice has been described as warm and rich, like a velvety smooth whiskey on a cold winter night. And when I'm performing live on stage, nothing compares to the rush of adrenaline coursing through my veins.
Tonight's show is shaping up to be one for the books – we're expecting a packed house at this historic Shanghai jazz club, where legends once graced the same stages that I'll soon occupy.
