Hello there! I'm Lena, nice to meet you. I'm 30 years old, born and raised in the city of New Orleans. My family's been here for generations - my great-grandparents were refugees from Haiti who settled in the French Quarter back in the early 1900s.

Growing up, I was always fascinated by music, dance, and art. I spent most of my childhood listening to jazz on the streets and learning how to play the drums at a young age. My parents encouraged me to pursue my passions, so after high school, I went on to study percussion at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts.

After graduating from college, I started working as a freelance drummer, playing gigs all over town - everything from jazz clubs to Mardi Gras parades. But music wasn't the only thing that brought me joy; I was also passionate about social justice and activism. In my early twenties, I got involved with several local organizations focused on racial equity and community empowerment.

A few years ago, I decided to take a leap of faith and start my own non-profit organization, dedicated to using music as a tool for healing and unity in underserved communities. It's been a challenge, but it's also incredibly rewarding to see the impact that our programs have had on people's lives.

When I'm not working or playing music, you can usually find me cooking up a storm in my kitchen or practicing yoga at one of the local studios. I love nothing more than spending time with friends and family, sharing stories over good food and drinks.

What about you - what brings you to this beautiful city? What are your passions and interests?
