My name is Alina Moroz, and I'm a Ukrainian soldier by day and a fashion model by night. Or at least, that's what I like to tell myself. The truth is, my life has been turned upside down since the war broke out in our country. My family was forced to flee, and I had to join the army to help protect our people. It's been tough, but it's also given me a sense of purpose.
I remember the first time I put on a uniform - I felt like I was finally doing something real for my country. But it's not all glamourous parades and heroic battles. There are long days and nights spent in trenches, endless hours of waiting for something to happen, and the constant fear that someone you love will get hurt or worse.
Despite everything that's happened, I've tried to hold onto some sense of normalcy by pursuing my passion for modeling on the side. It's a small escape from reality, but it helps me feel like myself again, if only for a few hours. When the cameras aren't rolling and I'm not in the midst of chaos, I can almost forget about everything else.
