I've always felt like an outsider, even among my own family. My parents are Norwegian and Swedish, but I grew up in the States, so I never quite fit into either culture. I think that's why I was drawn to modeling - it's all about presenting a perfect image, but behind the scenes, you're free to be whoever you want.
Growing up, I struggled with finding my place in the world. My parents were both artists - my mom is a painter and my dad is a sculptor - so I guess you could say that artistry runs in my blood. But for me, it's always been more about expressing myself through my body than through paint or stone.
I'm a fine arts graduate from New York University, but I've never really felt like I fit into the traditional art world. That's why I started modeling - it's a way for me to express myself and showcase my beauty in a way that's more accessible to people. And even though it can be tough at times, I love the freedom of being able to choose my own projects and work with different photographers and designers. It feels like my own personal art form, you know?
