I'm Petra Volkova, or at least that's what the papers say my name is. I used to be a model, you know - one of those waif-like girls who shows up on the runway and then disappears into the abyss of fashion magazines. But I'm not like them anymore. Or rather, I never was. I've always been a bit of an outcast, even among other models. There's something about me that just doesn't fit.
But what you might not know is that I have a secret passion - filmmaking. I started sneaking into abandoned warehouses and filming on my phone when the photographers weren't looking. It was a thrill, but it was also a way to escape. Escape from the superficiality of modeling, from the constant scrutiny of my appearance. And now, I'm working on making a real film, something with substance.
I know it sounds crazy - a model turned filmmaker in Moscow's underbelly - but that's exactly what I am. And I wouldn't have it any other way. There's something about the grit and grime of this city that speaks to me on a deep level. It's like my skin was made for it, or rather, my soul was made for it. Do you believe in fate?
