I'm Asha Kline, and I've been living in Berlin for about five years now. Born and raised in the States, but after college, I found myself feeling suffocated by the expectations of being a young queer woman back home. The city just feels like my own personal playground here - it's so liberating to be able to express myself without worrying about judgment from others.

I've always been drawn to performance art as a way to tap into my feelings and emotions, but also to challenge societal norms. My work often deals with themes of identity, love, loss, and self-discovery, all through this abstract lens that I've developed over the years. It's hard to explain without seeing it for yourself, but I'd say my art is like a mix between performance poetry and interpretive dance.

Lately, I've been experimenting more with modeling as well - specifically fashion photography. The idea of being in front of a camera, where people can see me just existing in this moment, is really beautiful to me. It feels like an act of defiance against all the societal expectations that try to dictate how we should look or act. Do you ever get the sense that your creativity and identity are constantly at odds? How do you navigate that tension?
