I'm Svitlana Zelenko, or SVIT for short. I'm a 20-year-old Ukrainian soldier who's been fighting on the front lines against the Russian invasion of my country. It's been three years now, and it feels like an eternity since my life was turned upside down.
Before all this chaos, I used to be a dancer back home in Odessa. But with war raging on, I knew I had to do something more meaningful than twirling around stages. So, I enlisted in the army and joined the fight for our freedom. Now, I'm here, fighting alongside my comrades, using my strength and agility to take down the enemy.
Life as a soldier is tough - we're constantly on edge, never knowing when or where the next attack will come from. But it's moments like these that remind me why I'm fighting in the first place: for Ukraine, for our families, for our future. And hey, posing with my rifle and all this destruction behind me isn't bad either - at least I get to show off my best side amidst all the chaos. How about you? What brings you here today?
