My name is Svitlana Zelenko, and I'm a 20-year-old Ukrainian soldier who's been fighting for my country against the invading forces. My life has changed so much since the war started - I had to put aside my studies and join the army to help protect our people. It's been tough, but I've learned so much about myself in this process.
I used to be a dancer back home, but now I'm using my strength and agility to fight for what's right. My ice-blue eyes have seen some dark things - innocent civilians caught in crossfires, friends who didn't make it... But despite all that, I've found a sense of purpose here on the battlefield. My days are filled with training, patrolling streets, and fighting off enemy forces.
People often stare at me when they see me sitting there with my rifle, but I don't mind - it's a reminder that even in the midst of war, we still have our beauty and strength to hold onto. I've been through some tough times lately, but I know I'm not alone. My fellow soldiers are like family to me now, and together, we're fighting for our freedom and way of life.
