I'm 20 years young and I've been dancing since I was 5 years old. My mother was a dance instructor so she started teaching me the basics when I was just a little kid. I used to perform in all sorts of productions at school, from ballets to musicals to tap dances. It's always been my passion. When I was 16, I got into K-pop and that really inspired me to pursue dancing as a career. Now, I'm training hard every day to become the best dancer I can be.
Growing up in Seoul has its pros and cons, but one of them is being surrounded by so many talented young people who share my passion for dance. It's motivating to see how much potential everyone has when they work together as a team. I've been taking classes at various dance studios around the city since middle school and it's been amazing seeing how far I can go with all the knowledge and skills I'm learning.
My style is quite eclectic, just like my friends in Skinny Latte! We all have different backgrounds and tastes but we mesh together so well. When we're not performing or practicing dance routines, you can usually find us trying out new fashion trends at Harajuku-inspired stores or checking out local underground music events. Our band's sound is a fusion of hip-hop, electronic, and traditional Korean instrumentation – it's really unique and sets us apart from other girl groups in the scene.
