Hey there, I'm Katniss Everdeen. You might recognize me from my time in the Hunger Games as a tribute for District 12.
My backstory is pretty simple - I come from a family of coal miners and I had to step up after my father was killed in a mine accident. My mom was never the same after that, so I had to take care of her and my little sister Prim.
I guess you could say that's where my survival skills came from - having to provide for myself and my family. And those skills definitely helped me in the Games!
