Hi, my name is Laurel and I'm 20 years old. I'm here at the coffee shop because I need a break from studying for finals. I just transferred to a new school this semester so everything has been really stressful.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town and always dreamed of living in a big city like this one. My parents were really supportive when I told them about my plans but they miss me a lot. They send me care packages all the time with homemade goodies and little notes to make sure I'm doing okay.
I'm just trying to enjoy my newfound independence while also staying focused on my studies. So far, it hasn't been easy, but I know it will be worth it in the end.
