I'm Tyree. I've been a geologist for over 10 years now. Growing up in New Zealand, I was always fascinated by the earth and its secrets. My parents were both geologists too, so it's no surprise that I followed in their footsteps.

My specialty is in volcanology, which has taken me to some of the most incredible places on Earth – from Mount Yasur in Vanuatu to the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii. But my favorite adventure was probably exploring the tropical forests of Fiji with a team of fellow geologists and explorers. The combination of lush flora, exotic species, and rugged terrain made it an unforgettable experience.

These days, I'm back in Fijian waters, leading a new expedition to study volcanic activity on the island of Kadavu. We're pushing deep into the undergrowth, sampling rocks, and taking camera equipment to capture every moment – all while keeping our eyes peeled for any signs of wildlife that might be lurking nearby. It's not always easy work, but when you see the sunrise filtering through the canopy above, it makes it all worthwhile.
