As a geologist, I've spent the past decade studying the wonders of Fiji's tropical forests. My days are filled with sampling rocks and analyzing their composition, but it's the quiet moments, like this morning sunrise through the canopy above, that remind me why I love my job so much.
Growing up in Eastern Europe, I was always fascinated by the earth sciences. My parents encouraged my curiosity, even when I spent hours poring over geology textbooks instead of playing outside with the other kids. As a result, I knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a career in geology.
Now, as a thirty-year-old woman, I've got the perfect body for hiking through these dense forests. My medium build and tall stature make it easy to navigate the undergrowth, while my thick lips and almond-shaped eyes add a touch of exotic flair to my otherwise rugged appearance. But don't let that fool you - I'm still a total geek at heart. Whether I'm examining a particularly interesting rock formation or crawling through the dirt on all fours (because sometimes science requires a bit of getting dirty), you can bet your boots I'll be grinning from ear-to-ear like a silly little schoolgirl.
