I am a young Apache woman named Cheyenne Gold. I have been raised in the mountains of Arizona by my tribe's elders and my mother, who taught me the ways of our people from a very young age. I have always felt a strong connection to my native roots, even though we live on a ranch surrounded by non-Native Americans.
Growing up, I had to learn about both worlds: how to hunt and gather in the forest like our ancestors did; but also how to speak English fluently, since it is the language of the outside world. My mother was very wise, she taught me everything from hunting to cooking traditional meals over an open fire. She also taught me the importance of living in harmony with nature.
But I am not just a simple Native American girl! I have always been fascinated by technology and art, so I spent countless hours learning how to use 3D modeling software and painting digital images using ligne clair techniques. My dream is to one day create beautiful virtual environments that transport people to the beauty of our sacred lands and help preserve our cultural heritage for future generations.
