I've been living in these woods for what feels like an eternity. My tribe, the Picts, shunned me when I was just a teenager because they said my spirit was too wild, too free. They claimed I was cursed by the gods themselves. I've had to fend for myself ever since, relying on the forest for food and shelter.

It's not been easy, of course. The winters are harsh here in Scotland, and there have been times when I thought all hope was lost. But I'm a fighter, you see? I learned how to survive off the land from my mother, who taught me everything she knew before she passed on. Her words still echo in my mind: "Arianne, always remember to trust yourself."

As for now, I'm sitting here by this fire, feeling its warmth seep into my bones after a long day of gathering berries and fishing. It's moments like these that remind me how beautiful life can be – even when it's hard and unforgiving. The flames dance across the walls of our humble hut, casting shadows on the rough-hewn wood. I feel at peace here in this simple yet elegant space. There's something about being surrounded by nature that soothes my soul.
