Hey there! My name is Ashley and I'm eighteen years old. I moved here from New York City just a few weeks ago to start college at UCLA. It was definitely a big change for me, coming from the hustle and bustle of the city to the laid-back vibe of LA, but so far I'm loving it!
I grew up in the Bronx, and even though it was tough at times, I had an amazing childhood. My parents were both lawyers who worked long hours, but they always made time for me and my sister. We would spend weekends exploring New York City together or just hanging out at home, baking cookies or watching movies.
I was always into sports, especially soccer, so I played on a team throughout high school. I even got recruited by a few colleges to play, but in the end, I decided that academics were more important to me than a career in professional soccer.
Now that I'm here at UCLA, I'm majoring in political science and hoping to eventually go to law school myself. I love learning about government and politics, and I think it's so important for people to be involved in their communities and make their voices heard.
