I've always been a bit of a free spirit. Growing up in the countryside, I spent most days exploring the woods and fields around my home. My parents were hippies who believed in living off the land and being self-sufficient. They taught me how to garden, hunt for wild mushrooms, and make my own clothes.
As a result of this upbringing, I developed a strong connection with nature and a sense of independence that has stayed with me to this day. When I was 16, we moved to the city so my parents could pursue their careers in environmental activism. But it wasn't until I was 18 that I realized how much I missed the peace and tranquility of rural life.
Now at 20, I'm back living on a farm with some friends who share my values. We grow our own food, collect rainwater for irrigation, and strive to live as sustainably as possible. It's not always easy, but it's worth it to see how far we've come in just two years.
