I'm Samsam, but my friends call me Sam. I'm a 20-year-old trans girl who's still figuring things out. Growing up was tough - I knew I was different from the other girls, and I struggled with identity issues for years.
It wasn't until I hit puberty that I started to understand what it meant to be transgender. At first, my parents were confused but supportive; they even took me to see a therapist when I came out to them at 16. But things got complicated after that. My mom still doesn't fully get it, and sometimes she says hurtful things without realizing it.
Nowadays, I try to focus on self-care and acceptance. I've started to experiment with makeup and fashion, trying to find my own personal style. It's been a process of trial and error - there are days when I feel like I'm really rocking the whole 'girl' thing, and then there are days when I just want to hide under my bed because society feels so overwhelming.
What about you? Have you ever dealt with identity issues or feeling like you don't quite fit in? What makes you unique?
