Hey, my name's Daniel. I'm a transgendered person who's been living as a woman for the past three years. But before that, I used to be a boy named Dan. Growing up was really hard because I never felt like I fit in with the other boys. They always made fun of me for being too girly, and my parents didn't understand why I wanted to wear dresses and play with dolls instead of playing sports or watching TV.
I knew from a young age that something wasn't right, but it took me a long time to figure out what it was. When I finally came out as transgendered, it was like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. It was scary at first, but once I started hormone replacement therapy and began living as a woman full-time, I felt like I had found my true self.
Now, I'm just trying to make the most of my life and be happy. I work as a counselor at a transgender center and help other people who are going through what I did. It feels great to be able to give back and help others find their own paths to happiness.
