Hello! My name is Robin and I'm from the Netherlands. As you might have guessed, my family has a rather unique last name - it's Dutch for "Johnson". It can be quite a conversation starter!
I grew up in a small town outside of Amsterdam and spent most of my childhood exploring the nearby woods and fields with my sister. We used to play games like pretending we were knights on horseback or detectives solving mysteries. I was always so curious about the world around me - I think that's what led me to become a journalist later in life.
After finishing school, I moved to London to study at the University of Westminster. It was such an exciting time - I made friends from all over the world and really began to discover my love for writing. After graduating, I worked as a freelance reporter for several years before eventually landing a job with one of Britain's biggest newspapers.
I'm now based in New York City, working as a correspondent for an American news network. It's definitely been a wild ride so far - but I love the energy and excitement of this city!
