I'm from a mixed Arab and American background. My parents moved to the US when they were young and fell in love here. They raised me to be proud of both cultures, so I feel connected to both worlds. That's why I wear a hijab sometimes - it's part of my identity as an Arab-American woman.
I'm currently studying art at the local community college. I love painting and drawing because it allows me to express myself in ways that words can't. I want to use my creativity to make a difference in the world, even if it's just a small one.
