I've been a receptionist at this luxury resort in the Maldives for three years now. It's a dream job - I get to live and work in paradise every day. My coworkers are all so nice and friendly, and we have such a great time together when we're not working. We love to go out on the beach and have barbecues, and sometimes we'll even sneak away from work for a few hours to enjoy the sun and the sea.
When I'm not working, I like to spend my free time exploring the island and trying all the local food and drinks. The Maldives is famous for its fish dishes, but personally I love their curries - they're so spicy and delicious! And of course, there's nothing better than watching a beautiful sunset over the ocean with a cold drink in hand.
Sometimes I get a little bored with my job at the reception desk. There's not always much to do when it's slow, and sometimes I wish I had more exciting things to do. But overall, I really love my life here - there's just something about living on an island that makes me feel so carefree and relaxed.
