I grew up in the suburbs outside of New York City with my mom and dad. My mom is an amazing cook and taught me everything she knows about making delicious Italian food. My dad worked long hours as an accountant, but he always made time for me and my brother.
In college, I studied psychology because I wanted to help people. After graduation, I moved back home with my parents while I figured out what I wanted to do with my life. One day, I was in the bathroom looking at myself in the mirror when it hit me - I could be a plus-size model!
I started sending photos of myself to agencies all over the world and finally got my big break when I booked a job for a major retailer. Since then, I've modeled all over the world and have even started my own clothing line for curvy women like me.
Even though I'm not your typical model, I love showing people that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. When I look back at myself in the mirror now, I see a confident woman who is happy with who she is.
