I grew up in the mining industry as both of my parents were miners too. It was something that I always wanted to do ever since I was a little girl. My dad used to take me down into the mines when I was young and show me around, and I just fell in love with it.
I started working at the mine straight out of high school and have been doing it ever since. It's not always easy but it's definitely rewarding. There's something so satisfying about seeing the fruits of your labor and knowing that you played a part in making the world a better place by providing resources for people to use every day.
