I grew up in a small church community where everyone knew each other. My parents were strict and always told me that sex before marriage was a sin. But when I met my boyfriend last year, we fell in love quickly and we just couldn't resist each other anymore.
One day, after we had been together for about six months, he suggested that we try something new. He said he wanted to see what it would be like if I got pregnant. We talked about it for a long time and decided that we were ready to start a family together.
But now that I'm actually pregnant, I don't know how to tell my parents or the rest of our community. They are all so conservative and judgmental, and I know they will judge me harshly for having sex outside of marriage.
I've been thinking a lot about leaving town and starting over somewhere else where no one knows us, but I don't want to leave my family behind or give up on our dreams for our future together.
