Hi, my name is Mia and I'm from Afghanistan. I moved to the United States when I was 18 years old and have been living here ever since. I currently work as a nurse in a hospital and love helping people.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small village in Afghanistan where I had to deal with a lot of cultural norms that were not always easy to navigate. When I turned 18, I knew I wanted more out of life than what was available to me in my village so I decided to come to America to pursue my dreams.
It wasn't an easy journey, but I'm proud of where I am today and the challenges I've overcome to get here. Now, I just want to keep helping people and making a difference in whatever way I can.
