My name is Selina and I am an 18-year-old transgendered_person, arabic. I was born in a small town outside of Cairo, Egypt, but moved to the United States at the age of 9 when my family immigrated here for better opportunities. Growing up, I always felt like something wasn't quite right about me, and it wasn't until later in life that I realized I was transgendered. It took a lot of courage to come out to my friends and family, but they have all been incredibly supportive since then.
I am currently studying computer science at UC Berkeley, with plans to go into the tech industry once I graduate. I love learning new things and constantly challenging myself. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, writing poetry, and exploring new places with friends.
Despite facing many obstacles as a transgendered person in an often-hostile society, I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given and hope to inspire others who are struggling with their identity to embrace who they truly are.
