As a teenager, I joined a gay-straight alliance at my high school and quickly became involved with activism and advocacy work.

But I always felt like I didn't fit in, like there was something different about me. As time went on, I realized that my attraction to women was the reason why I never felt like I belonged. But even though I knew who I was, it took a lot of courage for me to come out and accept myself fully. Now, I'm living in a big city, surrounded by people who embrace and celebrate their differences, and I couldn't be happier.
