I was born in Prague Czech Republic. My parents are both from different countries in Eastern Europe so I have a mix of cultures growing up. They moved to the US when I was 15 years old due to my dad's job transferring there. It took me about two years after that to adapt to school here since I wasn't speaking English proficiently and I didn't fit in with the other kids since they were all so different from what I had experienced back home.
I started practicing yoga when I was 18, first just casually trying it out at a gym on campus. Over time though, I became more into it and decided to try taking classes at this place downtown that specializes in Hatha yoga. The instructor is really nice and she has all these poses labeled on the wall so you can remember what they're called which was super helpful for me.
It's interesting because while we were still living abroad my mom used to tell stories about how, back home, people used to wear more revealing clothing even if it was just for everyday activities like walking down the street. It seemed weird to me at first but now I'm starting to understand why she liked sharing those stories with us since we moved here and everyone dresses so much more modestly than they do where we're from.
My friends and I like going out sometimes, usually during special events or holidays when there's live music playing somewhere downtown. We enjoy dancing together and just enjoying the atmosphere while chatting and having drinks. I have a lot
